Wireless 2014 - Friday #MyOutfits

Hey!

I went to Wireless yesterday with my friend and for those that don't know it's a huge music festival and it was held in Finsbury Park. This year the headliner was Kanye West whose music I absolutely love! Other musicians that attended were Pharrell, Iggy Azalea, Tinie Tempah and Basement Jaxx (who I didn't see unfortunately).

It was really hot and in true festival style you have to wear as little as possible. I went with a pastel theme because florals, booty shorts and boho is so overdone for festival style. I also got spotted and photographed by a trendspotter for Nordstrom which was really cool. My bralet is actually a bra, a literal underwear bra. But it works as a top and matched my unicorn leggings so I went for it. And you can see I have a new looooong plaited hairstyle which is really easily style but I decided to leave it as it was instead of buns or twin tails which just get in the way and would have to be re styled throughout the day. These photos were taken at different points (3am and 12pm) so I'm wearing my nails in some and not in others. I wore earrings on the day but I don't have them in the pictures because I can't wear earrings for too long without them hurting my lobes.

Bra - Vero Moda
Leggings - ASOS
Shoes - Vans x Hello Kitty
Choker - Topshop
Nails - eBay
Earrings - River Island

The pictures below are actually in reverse order starting with Kanye West, the headliner, who was last. Oops.

The day went so quickly even though we arrived at around 3pm and left at 10.30pm. We first saw Sinead Harnett (good) and Blonde (Ibiza house music isn't my thing) then we saw Iggy Azalea. This is my second time seeing her (I saw her last year at Wireless) and she's become so much more popular since then and has released her first album. She had her amazing back up bootylicious dancers and she looked so flawless. I love that she performed her old songs like 'My World' 'Pu$$y' and 'Drop That' which you can really get into but it was so obvious from everyone's blank faces they were only there for 'Fancy.' Sure, it's her biggest song to date but you can at least try to enjoy her other songs or maybe even have a listen to her album. It must be so frustrating for artists to put work into a whole album and have a crowd of people not become interested till you drop one song. Anyway, rant over. I think she could have danced more, Iggy didn't even twerk. I wanted to see her booty. The woman is still flawless though.

Next was Tinie Tempah who I didn't really get to see because of the madness of a queue for toilets. Seriously. Thennn, Pharrell who should have had a longer set and had the same reaction from the crowd as Iggy as in Pharrell has songs other than Get Lucky and Blurred lines what the fu--. His dancers were also amazing and talented and everything about that man is wonderful. Everything. Finally, after muscling our way near the front we saw Kanye West. The set was euphoric. That's the only way to describe it. Especially during 'All of the Lights' with flashing coloured lights on the screens and everyone jumping while it was raining. It was one of those moments that needs to be lived and can't be experienced rewatching it on your iPhone. I'm so fed up of watching concerts through a sea of phones, just put it away and live in the moment! Highlights were definitely 'All of the Lights', 'Blood on the Leaves' (twice!!!) and the 100% uncut twenty minute Kanye West speech. Gotta love it.
