Fake it? Cleated sole heels - Jeffrey Campbell Scully vs River Island

Hey!

I found some time to do a little post so I'm back for a bit before Saturday. I'm a huge fan of cleated soles and the 'it' shoe right now is the Jeffrey Campbell Scully. River Island did exactly the same shoe last season but not in white, so following the success of the Scully they've brought out the white pair for this season.

They are pretty similar with around the same heel height (14.5cm is just under 6inches) but there are slight differences. The biggest difference is the strap, River Island has a buckle while JC has a velcro strap. The platform and heel part of the JC shoe is wider than the upper so it sticks out whereas the RI shoe has a smoother shape. I think the JC upper also cuts higher up the foot. I the RI shoes in pink and they're quite comfortable and very stable for the height of them. I've never been convinced about the comfort of Jeffrey Campbell shoes (I've tried on a few and I remember feeling like I was walking on a block of wood when I tried on the Lita's) so I've never bought any but if you're confident that you can go a night in JC's it's up to you. The price is obviously a major factor when choosing between the two and the JC is more than double the price of the RI heel.

Personally, I prefer the RI heel because of the buckle strap (way more secure) and where the upper part cuts on the foot. The RI also comes in pink and black while the JC just comes in white and black. You also get a good quality shoe for the price so this time the verdict is...

Original 2 Fake 2
