As well as colourful tops, skirts, leggings etc. statement shoes can make or break an outfit. Chunky shoes are one thing but a chunky shoe with a cleated sole gives the shoe an extra edge, and they're on trend this season so they're in abundance! Buckles will also make a black chunky shoe more interesting or even a few polka dots. Dr Martens always get it right and the pink patent boots are a classic boot which they renew each season so there's no worry of it being sold out any time soon. Of course, I had to include an Irregular Choice shoe because they're fabulous but also this particular pair has my spirit animal on the heel, it couldn't be any cuter actually if it was pastel blue it could be but never mind. Chunky shoes need balancing so maybe pair with skinny jeans or something fitted on the bottom to keep the proportions in check.
