Fresh Start

Hey,

So you may have gathered I love Japanese fashion and Asian fashion in general so I thought I might as well blog about it.

I have found that most people into this sort of fashion usually go to the extreme and go all out when it comes to dressing up. For example many people go from nothing to a wardrobe full of Angelic Pretty and Baby The Stars Shine Bright after discovering Lolita (these two brands are for Sweet Lolitas I think) or buying a ton of Liz Lisa or MA*RS. Props to these people because they are really dedicated to looking like a certain type of fashionable group ie Lolita, Gyaru, etc and can really pull it off. But these brands aren't readily available in the UK and shipping costs and tracking down certain items can be an absolute bxtch. So I usually stick to any shops both on the high street and online such as H&M and ASOS to fulfil my fashion needs. Of course sometimes you have to accept these shops will only give you a watered down version of the extreme styles you find in Asia, but that's okay because the clothes are;
1. Easily wearable (if you have less confidence to pull off a Harajuku style outfit)
2. Cheaper/no shipping cost
3. You can make it your own!

I do buy some clothes sometimes from YesStyle and eBay if I'm looking for a particular item that I know they won't sell in the UK at all, but mostly I get my clothes and accessories from the UK and Europe. Sure, everyone knows about all the cool stuff on Storenvy and the cool shops like Spreepicky but if everyone knows about it and therefore buy from it, the kawaii world can seem very dull. So I like to change it up with a bit of London hipster style to make it more fun while picking up items from all different styles.

So that's all really, hopefully I keep this blog up in order to show how you don't need to especially go out of your way to achieve a different look.

Choom xoxo
