Perfume

So I went to see Perfume yesterday and they were amazingggg. I have to confess I didn't know many of their songs but that really didn't matter. I didn't stop dancing all night and I had so much fun despite being on my own (Pippa was ill boo).

I've found that from the few jpop concerts I've been to three in total that no matter if you know the songs or not it really doesn't matter. Neither does the really obvious language barrier!  Everyone always gets into it and enjoys themselves.

Perfume are absolute pros and they completely own the stage. Their performance is so slick the dances were brilliant and omg I can't even begin to describe the light show. They projected images onto a backdrop and onto the clothes that Perfume were wearing. It doesn't sound cool in the way that I'm describing it but it was actually really cool. They also had lasers shooting into the crowd and lasers that sort of looked like a starry night. This all sounds really lame as I'm writing it but it was so amazing.

Perfume were really good at connecting with the crowd and I forgot I was at a concert at some points because the whole thing was so relaxed especially when they talked about their first experience with fish and chips and so decided to call the crowd fish and chips. I loved the fact that you could really tell they were enjoying themselves on stage because they were smiling and laughing the entire time without ever losing their professional stage presence. It got a bit emotional towards the end and A~chan looked teary eyed as they said their goodbyes.

I hope they come back to London soon!!!
