I've moved to Tokyo!

Hey!

So I moved to Tokyo a couple of days ago for my year abroad! After the initial shock of seeing my room - it was so bare and has a giant earthquake beam in it - I've slowly grown accustomed to it and unpacking all my clothes made it feel more homely. Needless to say there's not enough space for all my stuff but I'll find a way! Also the structural steel support is a really useful place to hang my clothes to dry haha.

A little tour of my room! I have a fridge too.

I hang all my necklaces and earrings below my mirror and I put more in the little shelf. It's really convenient :)

So far it has rained non stop because of a recent typhoon so not much exploring has been done. I made it to Kabuki-cho with the help of friends but on my own...well the furthest I got was Family Mart (and that was because I got lost on the way to 7/11). In Tokyo there is literally a 7/11 or Family Mart convenience store on every corner so basically I haven't managed to get very far on my own.

New fave drink!

I haven't done much yet, just buy essentials like frying pans and snacks, and last night I went out with friends to an Izakaya which was cool apart from jet lag decided to kick in and I practically fell asleep at the table.

The Izakaya and the bright lights of Shinjuku.

Well that's about it I think! Actually at the airport my friends and I were interviewed by 'Why Did You Come To Japan' which was pretty funny considering we had just stepped off the plane and feeling pretty exhausted then being made to speak Japanese. So look out for that!
