I haven't done a fashion find post in a while! So today an ASOS magazine landed in my house with Lily James on the front cover with the word 'denim' in bold across the front. Later on while scrolling through instagram Bubble (a shop in Tokyo) had posted several pictures of their magazines with denim as the main feature. My mum's Marie Claire had 'how to wear denim' as one of its main articles. Finally, this evening when procrastinating from university work I went on Forever 21 to casually browse and lo and behold their website was plastered with denim outfits.
I could be wrong but I think denim is trending.
Denim is very versatile as it works for both an up to date and vintage look. Here is my throwback dungaree look.
Cheeky bathroom snapchat.
The dungarees have a very 70s (therefore current trend) silhouette, high waisted with a straight leg. I bought these from Rokit Vintage who sell loads of vintage denim, from dungarees to shorts.
If you're looking for something that's not a traditional denim, i.e jacket, dungarees etc you could try a shirt dress or patchwork jeans. I personally prefer medium to dark wash if you're looking for blue jean. The lighter or acid wash don't tend to look as good, personal opinion though! Also coloured skinny jeans can feel very 2008...simply because that was all I wore when I was going my pop punk phase. Don't lie, we all went through that phase.
Here are some of my favourite spins on denim:
