Adidas x Katakana #FashionFinds

Hey!

So recently a lot of brands have been using the 'Japanese characters are cool so we'll write random words on clothes to make them look cooler.' So far I've managed to steer clear of these brands because I can, unlike most people, read the Japanese they've used. Usually it's words like, 'cool' 'weird' 'fun' etc and obviously fewer people would consider buying the clothing if it was written in English. Japanese just seems to give everything a minimalist hipster vibe aesthetic which does appear to be appealing to the mass market. Adidas have followed up with their own Katakana branded line, which I discovered while wandering around Urban Outfitters (to kill time not to browse as I'd just spent a large sum of money already) and I have to say I was very very very tempted.

Monochrome plus katakana seems to work very well. Plus it looks super comfy which is also a bonus. This can all be found on the Urban Outfitters website and there are more items available in store. I did need a new backpack for uni....hmmmmm.

BONUS!

Just to prove my point about the Japanese katakana, this was on the first page of graphic tshirts for Urban Outfitters. Can you read it? No? Doesn't matter! Looks cool.
