I went out for the day to South Kensington with my friend Lucy before she goes back to Scotland for university, boo. First stop was Baker and Spice where we looking forward to devouring their brunch but unfortunately we missed the brunch hour by two minutes. Literally two minutes. So we had the normal lunch menu which really wasn't as exciting, especially since I couldn't even have the salad I wanted. I'm not a salad person so I chose the one with chicken and tonnes of dressing but apparently I couldn't have that one, boo. Then I discovered there was some serious mould on the inside of the bottle I had poured my drink from. Needless to say I am not going back there.
We then walked around the shops and Lucy really didn't help my shopping abstinence by pointing out the Giuseppe Zanotti and Sandro store. I fell in love with a green velvet bomber jacket with it's matching mini skirt in Sandro (if anyone reading this has a spare £465 lying around please tell me) and I had to walk away from the shop with tears in my eyes. Such a painful experience.
The highlight of the day was going to Barts, a prohibition themed bar. It's hidden away in Chelsea Cloisters, a block of flats, behind the reception area. In the true spirit on the prohibition theme you have to press a bell and wait till a bartender opens the peephole and decides whether you can come in or not. Inside the bar the decor, dress and music are so authentic down to even the menu and bill which are presented in a book. The cocktails are delicious too and I would really recommend going...if you can find it!
Since we were going to a nice area I dressed up. Well for me this is dressing up, haha. I only have bathroom selfies to show off the shape of the jacket I'm wearing which is a really cute fit and flare with a mandarin collar and dipped hem. Unfortunately I also don't have a picture of what Lucy was wearing because she looked cute in and really smart in her Zara outfit.
A wild Lucy appears!
I adore this blouse and skirt which I got from Ank Rouge in Shibuya109, I really wish I'd got another one. Japan's 'One Size' seems to fit me well and the skirt is the perfect length for me i.e. short. The shoes have a really lolita feel and really comfortable because of the platform so I wore them all day. Literally all day, no pain.

Also, don't know if you've noticed but I'm blonde.
