Baby, you're a firework (Katy Perry London concert)

Hey!

I know I missed my Saturday post but I went out Friday night to celebrate the end of my exams and my best friend's 21st birthday so...you know. But I'm alive now and back on schedule!

Last Saturday I went to Katy Perry's concert in the O2 with my friend Josh and we are huge KP fans. I have been a committed fan since Hot N Cold and Prism (her latest album) came out on my birthday last year. So clearly it's a sign that we're meant to be...or something. Anyway here is what I wore! *Warning this post contains pictures of feet* I know people with an odd fear of feet so just to warn you.

Body - Forever21 (this season)
Jeans - Uniqlo
Belt - Primark
Flatforms - Zara (this season)

I like to dress up when I go to concerts (actually, all the time) but when I go to concerts I always go in a theme appropriate to whoever I'm seeing as you can probably tell from the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and B.A.P concerts. The body really reminded me of the 'California Gurls' era and the white ensemble is summery and California-esque. I love my new flatforms, I like to think they're covered in unicorn sparkles, so childish but true. The glitter is affixed on them so well they've barely shed which I'm really happy with. I was going to spray them with hairspray to use as protection but they don't seem to need it.

The concert itself was spectacular! The sets, lighting, dancing, performance, singing, everything. Katy's vocals were so strong throughout but she really shone in the acoustic set where she sang Unconditionally, By the Grace of God, The One That Got Away and Thinking of You. It was so moving to hear the stripped down versions of these songs and hear her sing so powerfully as well. I went into ultimate fangirl mode when she sang my three favourite songs in a row ie Dark Horse, E.T and Legendary Lovers. It was too much. Too much for one fangirl to handle. I almost lost my voice just from screaming through that entire set. I loved the concert because it was a show that didn't feel overly rehearsed.

My favourite part has to be when she was talking to the crowd because you can tell she is just a really cute, kind, funny, genuine person who loves what she does. I love artists that love what they do and aren't robots and only in it for money, it just makes you appreciate them as an entertainer. She was talking and interacting with the crowd and it was so great to see her try and down a beer and then burp into the microphone. She and I would get on so well she is my kind of girl. And no, Katy, I don't know what gluten is either.
